With its first several homes and clubhouse currently under construction, Punta Sayulita will when finished serve as Sayulita’s most exclusive and expensive neighborhood, a collection of million dollar cribs with views of town, beach and bay. There will be guards, gates, and a restaurant for residents of the enclave only. They have a small beach. It’s a short walk from here to town, so Punta Sayulita residents, when they are in their homes, will not be too far out of town. The houses are being designed to a strict code, ecologically correct and quite lovely, with designs based on Polynesian and Asian Pacific motifs.
If you should happen to fall in love with Sayulita, and your pockets are well-lined, you could do worse than buying a house on Punta Sayulita. That gorgeous, lushly verdant, hilly little peninsula that defines the south end of Sayulita’s gentle bay, Punta Sayulita has recently become a private, gated community, with several dozen exquisitely-designed, Balinese style houses planned, along with a club house containing a bar and restaurant, a dock for small boats, and a whole lot of luxurious beachfront fun for the lucky few who have the opportunity to buy in. The rest of us can paddle by on our stand-up paddleboards or in our kayaks, and admire the lovely homes and clubhouse currently under construction, soon to be completed; and be thankful some heavy-handed hotel chain didn’t get a hold of this sublime property and put up a monster. Punta Sayulita will not be for everyone, but it will be a fine addition to the community. And if you are one of the lucky ones with a couple of million or so dollars to spend on a beachfront property, you could do far worse than this: a smartly-designed, eco-sensitive and aesthetically-pleasing home in a gated community of similar homes, within a few minutes’ walk of one of the coolest towns in Mexico: Sayulita.
