What to Do
Entre Amigos
This inviting community center contains performance space, library, recyling center, computer facilities, and a shop selling really cool stuff—art, furniture, dishes– made from recycled materials. Don’t miss it if you visit San Pancho.
Birdwatching
San Pancho’s estuary is a bird magnet—the place absolutely swarms with avian life. The folks at Birding San Pancho, birdingsanpancho.org, will help you find the best times and places to see the countless species of birds in the area.
Turtle release
San Pancho’s Grupo Ecologico de la Costa Verde runs the Turtle rescue program, which has aided in the huge increase in turtle numbers over the past decade. They welcome volunteers to help with turtle releases and other projects. Check it out at project-tortuga.org.
