On the beach at Anclote you can paddle out on a surfboard, a body board, or a standup paddleboard and ride fun, easy, beginner waves just to the right of the last jetty, or between the jetties. There are lots of rocks, especially at low tide, so be careful, beginners! You can also hire a boat here and take a ride to nearby better waves at El Faro, Bahia, or La Lancha. The same boats also offer whalewatching tours in season, fishing trips, year round, and trips to the nearby Marietas Islands for snorkeling or diving. If you like to play golf, during the low season it’s possible to play the fabulous courses at the Four Seasons Hotel. The greens fees are high, but these courses are world class, one being ranked in the Top Ten most beautiful golf courses in the world.
