Surf

The Sayulita waves range from OK to great, but what matters more sometimes is the vibe, and the surfer vibes in Sayulita can’t be beat. Local and visiting waveriders are a colorful, handsome bunch, on the beach and in the surf. You want to join them? Take a lesson and learn to ride, rent a board and hire a boat or a car and go on safari to the waves of San Blas or Punta Mita, San Pancho or La Lancha. Or stick around town with the local crew: our own waves include the right hander, by the main beach, and a little ways north, the left. Both are challenging when big, and wonderful for learning and playing when small. Ride a shortboard or a longboard, a soft top or a fish. You make the call.
