Downtown

Dancing horses, hip hop, Huichol, yogis and swells and well, you name it. Name them. Friends and neighbors. All of this under the soft bright lights around the plaza; some evenings, the light is made by fireflies, and a hush comes over town, the skaters and players slow down, go still, and sweetly, amazingly, everybody smiles at one another, intuitively sensing the magic.

Packed into a few colorful square blocks encircling Sayulita’s freshly spruced-up plaza, downtown Sayulita is a lively, anything-goes market of human interaction, social and commercial. You’ll find restaurants offering tacos for a buck or beef bourguignon for twenty, artworks ranging from the crudely hip to the coolly chic, and everything in between. Jewels, clothes, dancers, skaters, kids with their mamas and boys with their girls.
